Levels of Girl Scouting:
Girl Scouts are transitioning to a New Program Model that organizes troops by six different grade levels, rather than the previous model’s five different age levels (see the charts below). As we transition, your troop can choose how you would like to participate in Girl Scouting. We invite you to attend Leader Orientation, Basic Leader Training, Grade Level Training to learn more about Girl Scouting along with the New Program Model.
Each level has its own age-appropriate activities as well as different uniform and insignia (pins, patches, badges, etc.). Moving from one level to another is called "flying up" or girls can "bridge" from one level to the next by completing specific steps outlined in their handbooks.
