Thank you once again to the Fairbanks community for supporting our Women of Distinction event. It was a wonderful evening celebrating accomplished women and raising money for Girl Scout programs.

Freeze Up Canoe Race

  • Who: Registered Girl Scouts (Junior and older)
  • When: Saturday, Oct. 4, beginning at 9 am
  • Where: The race will begin at Chena Wayside Park and conclude at Pike’s Landing for awards and lunch. We will be wrapping up around noon.

Girls must sign-up at the Council office by Thursday, Oct. 2. Girls may sign up as a team of 3, or individually and they will be placed in a team on the day of the race.

Trick or Treat Shop Games/Juliette Low Birthday Party- Before heading out to Trick-or-Treat, be sure to swing by the Girl Scout Council office to show off your costume, earn a patch & play some games! Don’t forget to celebrate the birthday of Girl Scout Founder, Juliette Low, by grabbing a treat and singing ‘Happy Birthday’ at the Council!

  • When: Friday, Oct. 31st drop in any time 3-5pm
  • Where: The Council
  • What to bring: Yourself! And your Halloween costume!

December Service Unit Meetings & Cookie Training
Cookie Sale training will be offered throughout December beginning with Service Unit trainings. Cookie Sale training is mandatory for any troop planning on selling cookies.

  • Monday, December 1 at 6pm Four-Get-Me–Not
  • Thursday, December 4  at 7pm Aurora
  • Tuesday, December 9 at 6pm Great North Star

Nut Sale Ends – Incentives will be dispersed after payment clears bank

Holiday Craft Night & Pie Bake
Girl Scouts and Troops can submit a pie to be judged at this annual event! Your pie must be submitted by 3 pm to be considered for judging. While the pies are being judged, create a fun holiday craft, sip hot cocoa and visit the Council shop for our Holiday Sale!

When: Thursday, December 11th, 6-7pm
Where: The BP Room at the Council
What to bring: Yourself (and a pie for the competition if desired)
