Trainings FAQ

Q: I’m a new leader, which training should I attend?
A:
For a new leader, the two most important trainings to attend are the Basic Leader Training as well as the training for your age level, such as Daisy Training, Brownie Training, Junior Training, or Older Girl Training. These will equip you with all you need to know to be an effective Girl Scout Leader!

These trainings are offered each fall.

Q: I’m a returning leader, which training should I attend?
A:
Existing leaders are encouraged to attend our Program Model Parties, which give a preview of new program material available. Existing leaders who are bridging to a new age level are also encouraged to attend the Age Level Training for whichever age level they are changing to. Program Model Parties will start up again in the fall 2009.

Q: What is the Junior SOS Training?
A:
This is a special training offered by one of our long-time Junior Troop leaders. It will include all of the need-to-know basics for surviving the challenge of leading 4th-6th grade girls!

Q: What if I can’t attend the trainings you have available?
A:
We know that our leaders lead busy lives and we strive to meet their needs with convenient, and short trainings. If you are not available to attend the trainings that we have offered, please call us at 456-4782 and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule with a one-on-one training.
